Youth rodeo top results posted

The Jim Bowie Days Youth Rodeo took place on Tuesday and Wednesday night at the Bowie Rodeo grounds.
Tuesday night was filled with speed events like poles, barrels and ribbon goats. Poles kicked off the night.
In the six-and-under division, Hayva Hawkins won with a time of 23.257 seconds. In the 7-10 division, Charli Massey won with a time of 21.606 seconds.
The 11-14 age division was won by Charli Snow with a time of 21.796 seconds. The 15-19 division was won by Emily Williams with a time of 20.976 seconds.
Next up was barrel racing as Knoxlee Elliot won the six-and-under division with a time of 18.034 seconds. In the 7-10 division Charley Sellers won first with a time of 16.298 seconds.
The 11-14 age division was won by Jada Trosper with a time of 16.503 seconds.
The 15-19 division saw Kylee Scribner win with a time of 16.611 seconds.
The other speed event was goat ribbon pulling. Hayva Hawkins won the six-and-under age division with a time of 8.95 seconds. Charlie Sellers again won the 7-10 division with a time of 13.40 seconds.
In the 11-14 age division Jeanie Marie Hall won with a time of 13.72 seconds. Mackenzie Whitaker won the 15-19s with a time of 13.62 seconds.
Wednesday night was all about the roping events at the youth rodeo. The first event was breakaway roping.
In the 13-and-under age division Hayden Smith and Dalton Huston ended up tying for first with times of 3.76 seconds. The 14-19 division was won by Riley Webb with a time of 2.92 seconds.
Next was the ribbon roping event. Hayden Smith finished first in the 13-and-under division with a time of 7.74 seconds. Clayton Huston won the 14-19 age division with a time of 6.33 seconds.
Tie down roping was won by Caleb Webb in the 13-and-under division with a time of 17.99 seconds. Clayton Huston won the 14-19 age division with a time of 9.61 seconds.
The final event was team roping. The team of Brogan Sims and Kelton Denham finished first in the 13-and-under age division with a time of 15.70 second. As of press time, the 14-19 results had not been posted.
