Federal drug sweep jails 10 county residents

Nearly a dozen Montague County residents have been arrested in connection with a federal drug sweep which has been underway the past two weeks.
Erin Dooley, public information officer for the U.S. Attorney Office for the Northern District, confirmed 10 people have been arrested in connection with this federal drug investigation conducted by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. These cases were filed in federal court on Aug. 8.
There were two arrests made on Aug. 23, one other on Aug. 26 and the rest were served with the warrants on other dates.
There are three from Nocona, one from Montague and the rest have Bowie area addresses. These are last known addresses according to law enforcement.
Dooley said on Thursday the complaint remains sealed and she cannot provide any additional information at this time.
Indictments usually remain sealed until all the suspects have been arrested; however, the specific complaints for those who have been arrested are unsealed. Read the full story in your weekend Bowie News.
