The City of Bowie Fire Department celebrated its past year with the annual Thanksgiving dinner bringing firefighter families and supporters together for an evening.
Members of the ladies auxiliary, who received the Roy Gene Williams Award last year, presented this year’s honor to Lee Adams, lieutenant and president of the volunteers. Adams has been a member of the department for 19 years.
This award honors exemplary volunteerism and is selected by the volunteer members.
Ross Hamilton received the Firefighter of the Year Award. This award is selected by both the paid and volunteer members, and its selection is open to both categories of firefighters. Read the full story and see more photos in the weekend Bowie News.
