According to the Department of State Health Services late Friday three new Montague County resident COVID-19 cases have been confirmed.
“I believe all of them were non-Nocona residents,” reported Nocona General Hospital CEO Lance Meekins Friday afternoon to the Nocona News.

It had been 45 days since the last positive test result for a county resident had been reported for Montague County. Over that period of time 229 other county residents were tested for the novel Coronavirus with negative results.
All totaled there have been 12 county residents have tested positive. There have been eight recoveries and one fatality with three patients currently under self-quarantine. Test results are pending for three other individuals.
