Highway 82 expansion bid letting moves to fall 2021

Bid letting for the widening of U.S. Highway 82 in Montague County has been moved from summer 2021 to fall, but the project continues to move forward with soil sampling and the purchase of right-of-way properties.
The Texas Department of Transportation had set the bid letting for June 2021, however, at the request of TxDOT administration it has been moved to November 2021.
Adele Lewis, public information officer for the Wichita Falls district, confirmed the project is funded and was moved just last month at the request of state officials to “accommodate balanced lettings.”
