Bowie wins TWDB approval for loan application
It was exciting news for Bowie as City Manager Bert Cunningham announced the Texas Water Development Board approved the city’s loan application for $9.7 million in wastewater system improvements.
The state board met Thursday morning to consider the application, which had received a positive recommendation from the loan committee.
This loan application was one of the first things Cunningham began working on when he first took the city manager’s job in spring 2018. On Thursday he was able to take part in a Zoom meeting as the TWDB heard application presentations.
