BISD reports on COVID positives with staff, students

Bowie Independent School District Superintendent Blake Enlow reported the following COVID-19 totals for the opening of the school year as of Aug. 30.
The total number screened in the district are 14 staff tested with 14 positive and active as of Aug. 30. Twenty-seven students were tested with 17 positives.

According to the Department of Human Services as of Aug. 30 Montague County had 65 active cases and 75 fatalities. Texas had 33 newly reported fatalities and 8,410 new confirmed cases.
