Published

on

April 25 is the deadline to submit a nomination for the April Bowie News Yard of The Month.
The first yard winner of the 2022 spring season will be featured in the April 30 Bowie News, with the contest taking place April, May and June. Beautify Our Bowie also is a sponsor of the contest.
To make a nomination call the Bowie News office at 872-2247 or email it to [email protected]. If you email, please follow up with a call to make sure it arrives.
Include the name, address and if possible a phone number for the nominee, which will help us contact the winner to set up the phone. Throughout the contest the winner will be featured in the last newspaper of the month.
Nominations will be accepted each month and you can submit the same name more than once. Winners from last season will not be considered to allow others an opportunity to participate.
Independent judges that includes experienced gardeners and some master gardeners will tour the submissions and submit their winning choice. The contest will recognize a beautiful yard which is not necessarily the most fancy or elaborate, but one that shows care and upkeep in their neighborhood. The goal is to encourage all residents to keep their properties clean and looking nice for everyone to enjoy.
