Detour set up west of Nocona on Hwy. 82
A detour has been constructed on U.S. Highway 82 just west of Airport Road in Nocona.
The contractor will be installing concrete barrier the week of May 23rd in preparation for work on AirportRd. The City of Nocona and Montague County will be notified prior to closing Airport Road North to perform construction.
Meanwhile, on U.S. 82 at Farm-to-Market 1816, the contractor will be removing the outside lanes of the eastbound passing areas on the East and west sides of FM 1816. This area will be re-striped to one-lane in each direction.
There will be heavy equipment and haulers, with delays and slowdowns expected. Lastly, a 45 mph work zone speed limit was established this week from McCool Rd. to Nocona
