Human trafficking investigation assisted by Montague County K-9

Montague County Sheriff’s Office confirmed its K-9, Ace, and Deputy Chase Pelton aided in a multi-agency investigation that uncovered evidence of a human trafficking operation on Oct. 25.
Montague County Sheriff Chief Deputy Jack Lawson confirmed Ace was dispatched around 9 a.m. on oct. 25 to Punjabi Dhabba Restaurant at 4566 North U.S./287 south in Alvord.
Lawson said Ace remained on site until 3 p.m. helping in the operation. Wise County Sheriff’s Office reported it was acting on information from an investigation into human and drug trafficking and served the search warrant.
