County 4-H honors its members

Montague County 4-H celebrated its members and volunteers during the annual banquet on Sunday afternoon featuring an ocean theme.
Projects pins and recordbook awards were presented, along with specialty awards for all age members. Izzabella Rohde was excited to receive the top 4-H award of the Gold Star.
Charmie Sanders of Bowie received the Friend of 4-H award for her support of the members and programs.

Bowie Elementary remembers kindergarten student killed in Archer County accident
On Monday the staff and students of Bowie Elementary took time to remember Avery Kelley, age 5 and a kindergarten student at the school, was killed in a car accident along with her mother on Sept. 25 in Archer County. The staff posted this colorful video on Facebook.

Art of the Song showcasing art, live music
The Oct. 9-11 Art of the Song Music and Art Festival is gearing up for three days of art and entertainment in downtown Nocona.
The festival opens on Oct. 9 with a Chisholm Trail Art Association Preview Party from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 9 in the H.J. Justin Building.
Come see all the entries for the adult show, which formally opens at 10 a.m. on Oct. 10. The Mind’s Eye will perform during the party.
