Bowie Firefighters prepare to distribute holiday toys
Bowie Firefighters were loading up toys from the Bowie Fire Department toy drive late last week. This group of toys was being delivered to families at God’s Table, the food ministry of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Bowie. Other toy distribution was being coordinated with other local community groups including the Young Homemakers. Organizers said they hope to impact nearly 200 children by providing toys this Christmas season. The firefighters used donations and money from fundraisers to finance its annual toy project.
