Husband bonds out of jail
Albert Petroni Jr. was arrested in Collin County on four indictments stemming from child endangerment charges issued out of 97th District Court.
Petroni, 33, joins his wife Jessica Petroni, 27, who was indicted in November for similar charges involving five children, including four of their own.
Bowie Police Department Acting Lt. Randy Hanson said Petroni was arrested in Collin County Dec. 18 on four sealed indictments from the Montague County Grand Jury.
There are two indictments for injury to a child, which is a second degree felony with bonds of $20,000 and $5,000.
The other two indictments are for abandon or endanger a child criminal negligence. He has bonded out of jail, but his wife remains in the Montague County Jail. Read the full story in the weekend News.
Members of the Bowie City Council will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. on May 13 in council chambers.
The meeting opens with a proclamation for Emergency Medical Services Week.
City Manager Bert Cunningham will report on recent rainfall problems, Smythe Street sidewalk project and the substation work.
There is only one item of new business an ordinance related to speed limits on specific streets. Public comments and approval of minutes wrap up the agenda.
The board of directors of the Amon Carter Lake Water Supply Corporation will meet at 6 p.m. at Carter Lake Baptist Church 4759 FM 1125.
Agenda items include an engineer’s presentation and resolution workshop with Daniel Deweber and Prairie Branch Properties.
