After one year away from the helm, David Hall has agreed to be Bowie High School tennis coach once again.
Hall said he’s enthusiastic about his return.
“I’m excited, and I am looking forward to it,” Hall said. “We have a lot of good ones coming back. We’re going to see how it works out.”
Avery Tate, the former Burleson doubles standout who coached last year, will remain with tennis as junior high school coach.
“David has done a great job, and Avery asked just to do junior high tennis,” Bowie athletic director Dylan Stark said. “He’s built the program.”
Hall reported he will continue serving the Bowie Independent School District as a full-time bus driver as well.
The cupboard isn’t bare with the Jackrabbit tennis program, with returning doubles team Jessie Roth and Carcyn Robertson, regional qualifier Michael Shaw, boys’ singles player Clayton Ogg, doubles specialist Sergio DeLeon and girls’ singles player Stephanie Crawford, and Zach Logan and Spencer Hopson.
