Montague County receives state safety award
Montague County was recognized by the Texas Association of Counties Risk Management Pool for 40 years of membership in the association’s risk management pool.
In 1974, the county joined with 50 other Texas counties to pool resources in an effort to address the unique and changing dynamics of country risk. The county also received a 2014 safety award. Only 50 of the 254 counties earned the award this year.
