Saint Jo mayor joins staffers in resigning

The City of Saint Jo lost not only its city secretary and judge this week, but the mayor also resigned.
The Saint Jo City Council accepted the resignation of two city staffers in a called meeting Tuesday night and at the same meeting, Mayor Danny Steadham tendered his resignation effective immediately.
Sherri Davis, city secretary, and Patty Hale, city judge, both submitted their resignations last week, effective Oct. 12.
Davis, secretary since August 2007, said on Wednesday morning the council unanimously accepted her and Hale’s resignations before going into executive session to discuss personnel.
After the executive session Steadham resigned.
