Bowie head football coach Dylan Stark said the last time he played musical chairs was back during his childhood.
That was until Saturday night’s Meet the Rabbits celebration, the kickoff event the Bowie Booster Club puts on at Jackrabbit Stadium.
“It’s been a long time since I did that, but it was a lot of fun,” Stark said.
Stark was eliminated early in musical chairs. Football player Chase Hall nudged out Madison Little from the volleyball team for the victory.
The football players won the tug-of-war while the cheerleading and volleyball moms won those respective rope pulls. The moms had help from several Bowie football players.
“Musical chairs and the tug-of-wars, we’ve had great success with those,” said Cynthia Robertson, Bowie Booster Club president. “I thought it was a wonderful night.”
Events were delayed for about 20 minutes due to a thunderstorm that popped up Saturday around 5 p.m. Read more in the mid-week edition of The Bowie News.
