VOLLEYBALL: Nocona finishes 4-2 at Lu Allen
The Nocona High School volleyball team finished 4-2 at the Lu Allen Tournament in Graham this past Friday and Saturday.
The results were very encouraging for first-year head coach Tiffany Clay.
“I am still trying to piece together our team and put girls where they are most effective, so each game I looked at different line-ups,” Clay said. “With the inconsistency I gave the girls by changing positions up almost each game, they responded well and were able to make adjustments.”
The Indians are 8-6 on the season.
On Saturday, Nocona topped Paradise 25-14, 25-15 and defeated Holliday 16-25, 25-23, 25-23, for the consolation title.
Sherese Price produced 11 kills and five solo ace blocks in the win versus Holliday. Jamie Carpenter and Chloey Hamilton combined for 20 assists to help Price and other hitters.
