SAINT JO – M.J. “Mac” McCoy, 80, died Oct. 25, 2014 in Saint Jo.
A visitation and a meal were at the McCoy Trophy House in Saint Jo.
Funeral service was 11 a.m., Oct. 30 at First Baptist Church of Saint Jo with the Rev. Sam Campbell and the Rev. Jeff Roe officiating. Burial followed the service in the M. J. “Mac” McCoy Family Cemetery in Saint Jo under the direction of Scott Funeral Home.
McCoy was born on Sept. 12, 1934 to James Arthur and Luteenie (Bass) McCoy in Crosby County.
After graduating from high school, he joined the Army where he quickly rose to the rank of captain while working with the Pentagon as a nuclear weapons analyst.
While analyzing satellite data, McCoy discovered a new Russian nuclear weapon. After presenting the data to the Secretary of State, he was given the honor of naming the missile GANEF. He served 11 years in the military, including three years in Germany.
McCoy went on to pursue a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He earned a mortuary degree and used that to work his way through school. He worked as the director of maintenance at Bell Helicopter in Amarillo and director of plant operations Maintenance at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, AL.
In 1979, he moved to Saint Jo and purchased the funeral home, and in 1983 he purchased the funeral home in Muenster. For many years, he ran the funeral home and an ambulance service for the community of Saint Jo.
He is survived by his daughters, Peggy Anne Thomas, Red Oak, Linda Lou Currans, Fort Worth, Katherine Sue McCoy, Arlington and Karen Kay Hillebrand, Arlington; sons, Michael James McCoy, Farmers Branch, Dennis Mathew McCoy, Cameron Douglas McCoy; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister: Morelle Miller, Denton and brother Pete McCoy, Tuttle, OK.

Kelsi Jordyn Fulbright

NOCONA – Kelsi Jordyn Fulbright, infant, died Nov. 10, 2024.
A visitation was from 6 to 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at Jerry Woods Funeral Home. A funeral service was at 2 p.m. Nov. 14 at Bethel Baptist Church with Pastor James Messer as the officiant. Interment followed in Spanish Fort Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 3, 2024, in Wichita Falls. For one week her mother and close family members were given the opportunity to love on her, pray over her and create small memories with her and each other. She was born at 7 pounds 15 ounces and 19 inches long. Though her stature was small and her life on earth was short, her impact was huge.
She was preceded in death by three uncles.
She is survived by her parents, Unity McGowan and Josh Fulbright; half-brother, Joseph Bax; her grandparents; her great-grandparents and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

J.C. “Pat” Foreman

JACKSBORO – J.C. Foreman, 77, lovingly known as Pat, passed away on Nov. 9, 2024 at his home in Jacksboro.
A visitation was from 9 to 10 a.m. Nov. 12 at Coker Funeral Home in Jacksboro. A funeral service followed the visitation. Burial took place at Newport Cemetery.
He was born on Sept. 28, 1947 in Bowie to Jesse James Foreman and June Ella (Dumas) Allison. Pat married Phyllis Leek on June 16, 1990, in Pipe Creek, TX and they were both members of the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. Pat worked in the oil and gas industry and owned Circle P Trucking. He will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.
Pat is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Donna Davidson and brother, Gary Foreman.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Foreman; daughters, Tami Deaton and husband Keith and Tonya Rhyne; four grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers-in-law, Joe Davidson and Tommy Leek and sister-in-law, Kathy Foreman along with many extended family and friends.

NOCONA – Donna Russell, 71, died at her home in Nocona on Nov. 7, 2024.
There will be a visitation from 10 a.m. until service time on Nov. 13 at Jerry Woods Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. at the Gazebo in Nocona Cemetery officiated by Pastor Marvin Pepper.
She was born on Dec. 9, 1952 in Nocona at the Major Clinic to Sam Taylor and Billie Roberts Taylor. She grew up in Nocona and worked mostly as a beautician. She married Danny Russell on Oct. 8, 1974 in Montague County.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Danny; her parents and one nephew.
She is survived by her children, Cody Russell, Haslet and Amy Spikes, Wichita Falls; sisters, Becky Taylor, Nocona and Angela Taylor, Henrietta; brother, Sammy Taylor, Decatur and four grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society – Lung Cancer Charity or Leukemia Society.
