Montague County 4-Hers visit commissioner’s court

Members of Montague County 4-H made their annual visit to the commissioner’s court Monday to show off their achievements of the past year and thank the court for its support.
Justin Hansard and Melanie Stott, AgriLife Extension agents for the county, introduced the group noting there are 166 youth in the county 4-H program, which they coordinated with all the other club leaders. There are nine chartered clubs in the county with 18 adult volunteers.
Project participation is lead by foods and nutrition, then photography, rabbits, shooting sports, horse, STEM, beef cattle, goats, poultry, community service, swine, fashion, sheep, theater and sports fishing.

A BOIL WATER NOTICE remains in effect for City of Bowie, TX water customers along Highway 81 from Parker Road to Old Bowie Lake. Affected customers should use bottled or boiled water for drinking, cooking, or brushing teeth. Results of water testing should be available shortly after noon today. If the testing is good, the BOIL WATER NOTICE may be lifted shortly thereafter

Repairs prompt boil order

A boil water order was implemented Monday afternoon for the area served at U.S. Highway 81 from Parker Drive to Old Bowie Lake as water line repairs were made. The order remains in place today. If you are affected by this order and need bottled water call 940-977-4941.
