Bowie to pursue utility system upgrade
Sandy Page was selected by the Bowie City Council Tuesday night to move up to the city secretary. Page, who has served as deputy city secretary since 2005, was the sole applicant to be interviewed by the council in executive session Tuesday.
The city council also decided to enter into a contract with a company that will do an extensive audit of the city’s utility services in order to determine if there is a viable upgrade program Bowie can undertake. The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
