In the boys’ game, Bellevue looked sharp throughout the game and the 18th-ranked Conference 1A team in the state handled Tioga.
“We played pretty well defensively; we caused a lot of problems for probably the most athletic team in the district,” said boys coach Colby Broussard.
The Eagles defense held their opponent to single digit scoring in all four quarters; the most allowed was a nine-point effort in the fourth quarter.
Bellevue’s offense was dynamic, scoring 25 points in the second quarter and 24 more in the third to seize control of the game.
Broc Terry played a great game for Bellevue, leading the way with 30 points, six rebounds and five steals. Jakob Watkins recorded 17 points, six rebounds and three steals. Emilio Mendoza added 13 points.
