HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL: Bowie baseball still ranked 7th

The Bowie High School baseball team is ranked seventh in the latest Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association Conference 3A poll.
The poll was released on March 26, and the next one will be made public on April 9.
Bowie currently has a record of 16-1-2, and the Jackrabbits lead District 3A-9 with an unblemished 6-0 record.
The team is coming off an 11-0 victory over Montague County rival Nocona, and the Jackrabbits played Boyd on Tuesday evening.
Bowie is also slotted 14th in the txhighschoolbaseball.com poll, which was released on April 6.
Sunnyvale leads Conference 3A, with Bishop second in the THSBCA poll. Central Heights leads the txhighschoolbaseball.com poll, with West second.
Pearland is tops in 6A with a 16-1 record, and Laredo Alexander second. College Station leads 5A with Rockwall-Heath second.
Iowa Park tops 4A, and Pleasant Grove is second. Douglas is the leader in 2A with Bosqueville second.

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
