HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS POLLING: Bowie baseball moves up to 6th

The Bowie High School baseball team is ranked sixth in the latest Conference 3A Texas High School Baseball Coaches Association poll.
Bowie, after a 5-1 victory over Jacksboro on Friday, has improved to 18-1-2, and 8-0 in District 3A-9.
The Jackrabbits have steadily risen up the polls this year. They are now 13th in the txhighschoolbaseball.com poll.
Central Heights leads both polls, with a record of 15-1-1, followed by West.
Pearland is the leader in Conference 6A in the THSBCA poll, but they are second in the txhighschoolbaseball.com with Flower Mound the leader of that poll.
Rockwall-Heath is atop Conference 5A in THSBCA with College Station second. College Station leads the txhighschoolbaseball.com poll.
Iowa Park is No. 1 in the THSBCA poll, while Texarkana Pleasant Grove is the leader in the txhighschoolbaseball.com poll. Iowa Park is third in that poll.
Douglas is the leader in both the THSBCA and txhighschoolbaseball.com polls, with Center Point second. Read more in the mid-week Bowie News.

Bowie’s Cason Richey (right) and his horse Hello Lashes, qualified for the College National Finals Rodeo this month. Richey competes in team roping as a part of the Texas Tech University rodeo team as a freshman. The CNFR is scheduled for June 15-21 at Casper, WY.
