OUTDOORS: Meeting scheduled about Lake Tawakoni

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department has scheduled a public meeting to give anglers the chance to comment on proposed regulation changes for blue and channel catfish at Lake Tawakoni.
The meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Nov. 30 in the Family Life Center of the First Methodist Church in Quinlan.
The regulation considered is a no-minimum length limit and 25-fish bag limit in any combination (blue and channel catfish).
Of that, no more than seven fish 20 inches or more may be retained, and only two fish may be 30 inches or more in length.
This regulation is designed to increase the abundance of fish more than 30 inches, or about 10 pounds, by reducing the harvest of fish 20 inches and longer.
