The biggest question heading into Friday’s District 3A-9 girls’ basketball game between Bowie High School and Henrietta was this: How would the Lady Rabbits respond?
The answer proved to be, “Quite well,” as Bowie bounced back from its first district loss in several years by knocking off Henrietta 63-30.
Bowie head coach Colby Davis-Pastusek said the team returned to fundamentals on defense; and Madison Hill continued her development as a post scorer for the Lady Rabbits.
Hill scored a season-high 12 points, and Bowie improved to 20-7, 8-1, tied with Paradise atop District 3A-9.
“Madison is one of our players who have to step up and do more, and Madison really responded,” Davis-Pastusek said. “I hope we continue to get that (production) from her, because it’s a big help.” Read more in the Jan. 27 Bowie News.
