HIGH SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL: Despite no Hill, Nocona prevails

The Nocona High School boys’ basketball team played Paradise in a physical District 3A-9 game on Tuesday.
Nocona’s Kameron Hill was fouled hard a couple of times, and knocked out of the game with an injury.
The Indians were undeterred and picked up a 45-36 road victory as Riley McCasland filled Hill’s void on offense with 14 points, including two 3-pointers and four free-throw makes, plus three assists.
At Stoneburg
Midway 65, Gold-Burg 45
Kasen Allen paced Gold-Burg with 12 points, all in the second half; however the Falcons still downed the Bears by 20 in this District 1A-21 game.
At Bellevue
Bellevue 79, Prairie Valley 28
Jakob Watkins paced the Bellevue boys in this District 1A-21 victory with 22 points, including four 3-pointers. Read more in the Jan. 30 Bowie News.
