TRACK AND FIELD: 3A-2 regional meet Friday

Six track and field athletes from Bowie and Nocona High Schools will compete in the Conference 3A-Region 2 meet beginning on April 29 at Wildcat Stadium in Whitehouse.
This meet features competitors from Districts 3A-9 through 3A-16.
Bowie’s Addy Cook is set to compete in the triple jump at 9 a.m. on April 29, while Zeke Vaughan and Logan Lawhorn will compete in the high jump at the same time.
Also competing at 9 a.m. will be Nocona’s Rachel Patrick in the pole vault. Teammate Madison Kammerer may also compete at this time because she is an alternate for the discus throw.
Maria Hernandez from Nocona is set to race in the 3,200-meter run at 2:30 p.m. on April 29.
Other morning events are boys’ triple jump and boys’ discus at 11 a.m.
Bowie’s Daniel Mosley will compete in the discus. In triple jump and discus, the final eight will compete in the finals.
The track will be open for warm-ups from 12:30-1:45 p.m. on April 29. Read more in the April 27 Bowie News.
