LOCAL: Basketball scrimmages set to begin

The Bowie High School girls’ basketball team is tentatively scheduled to play two scrimmages this week.
On Nov. 3, Bowie will travel to Burleson for a scrimmage while on Nov. 5, the Lady Rabbits will play host to Krum.
The scrimmage is set for 10 a.m. on Saturday as new head coach Chuck Hall takes on his high school alma mater.
Nocona’s girls will scrimmage Ponder at 11 a.m. on Nov. 5.
Also on Nov. 5, Prairie Valley will be the site of a pair of scrimmages as the girls face Woodson at 10 a.m. followed by a boys’ practice session versus Alvord at 11:30 a.m.
Bowie’s boys’ basketball team will compete in a pair of scrimmages next week, at Keene on Nov. 10 followed by Wichita Falls Rider on Nov. 12. Read more in the Nov. 2 Bowie News.
