Tax district presents budget

Montague County taxing entities have begun reviewing the 2018 proposed budgets for the Montague County Tax Appraisal District, which shows a 3.06 percent increase on the appraisal side and a .53 percent on the collection side. The appraisal district budgets are one of the few items that touch every taxing district in the county due to the appraisal of property values. Read the full story in your mid-week News.
