COLLEGES: Eakin returns, signs with MSU
Sarah Eakin has decided to play at home.
The Wichita Falls High graduate and 6-foot-4 middle hitter has signed with Midwestern State University to be on the 2017 volleyball squad.
The squad also featured Bowie native Addy Cook, an incoming freshman with the Lady Mustangs.
Eakin transferred home from Florida Atlantic University. She played club volleyball for the Clay County Volleyball Association with former Nocona players C.J. Hamilton, Allie Hackley and BreAnna Smoak. Ray Bussey was the head coach, with Chris Hamilton of Montague as the assistant.
At Wichita Falls, she was a district most valuable player in 2012.
