By BARBARA GREEN
Bowie and Nocona High Schools will travel to Northwest High School this Saturday for regional University Interscholastic League marching competition.
The Mighty Marching Maroon will compete at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, while The Pride of the Tribe from Nocona will march at 1 p.m. The band competition is open to the public for a small admission fee.
At the regional contest this Saturday all the bands that receive a rating of one will advance to area. The number of bands that advance past area will be based on the number of bands competing. Three advance to state, but if they have more it would increase.

Read the full story on both band’s contest programs and their expectations for Saturday in the mid-week News.
