Two-vehicle wreck injures one
Two vehicles were involved in this accident at 2:15 p.m. on April 5 on Farm-to-Market Road 1758. Joe Moore, 59, Bowie, was driving a 2006 Dodge pickup around the curve when he stated he “blacked out” due to medical issues. The Department of Public Safety reports Moore crossed the center stripe and struck the 2004 Lexus driven by Mercy Koen, 26, Bowie. Koen was transported by ambulance to Central Hospital in Bowie and Moore was not transported according to the DPS. Pictured is the car driven by Koen, which is believed to have rolled. The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
