Local schools open the year this week

Published

on

It’s back-to-school week across Montague County as the last of the area school head back to the classroom.
Bowie, Nocona, Saint Jo and Bellevue will ring their first-day bells this week.
Bowie and Nocona both start back on Aug. 16. Saint Jo and Bellevue both start on Aug. 17.
Remember school speed zones will be back in enforcement including the crosswalks in that area. Drivers and students will all need to be extra cautious as the routine of walking or being dropped off at school returns.
All county schools have secure entries that require visitors to come to the main office to check in. Other entrances to the schools should be secured. Have a great school year.
