City of Saint Jo to sell 2.7 acres; hires new cop
There was unanimous approval in the Saint Jo City Council to advertise for bids to sell 2.775 acres of land along U.S. Highway 82.
The council met in regular session on April 10. This city-owned property is located just outside the eastern city limits of Saint Jo on a nearly 50-acre tract of land that includes the 2.775 acres at the north end which has been used in recent years as a construction equipment yard that was leased. The Easy Street Shelter also is on the property and the city’s wastewater plant is at the southern end of the tract.
