Mantell accepts ice bucket challenge

“Cowboy” Johnny Mantell has accepted the ALS Ice Bucket challenge.
Mantell is a former professional wrestling standout who lives here in Montague County. He wrestled during the 1980s in World Class Championship Wrestling.
The challenge will take place at 10 a.m. on Aug. 20 in front of the Montague County Courthouse.
Rusty Keatts and “Pretty Boy” Larry Sharpe, of the Monster Factory in Philadelphia, both laid out the challenge to Mantell.
Mantell is performing this challenge as a fundraiser.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease,” is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord.
