BOWIE NOTEBOOK: Boosters make purchases

The Bowie Athletic Boosters Club made several purchases during Monday’s meeting in the Bowie High School commons.
The Boosters purchased a hitting tee for the new indoor workout facility totaling about $450.
In addition, softball caps valued at $500 and baseball caps at $1,500 were funded as well.
“The players purchase their own, and the rest is for sale,” Bowie Athletic Booster Club member Craig Stallcup said.
Discussions also took place regarding renovations to the boys’ varsity basketball locker room to build and install wooden lockers with locking compartments.
The next meeting will take place on Monday at 6 p.m. in the commons area.
