Bowie City Council will meet Tuesday

The Bowie City Council will meet at 6 p.m. on May 5.
Councilors will consider filling the north ward vacancy on the panel.
Arlene Bishop resigned her place due to a move out of the ward, with one year left on her term.
Officials with the Jim Bowie Days Association will discuss expenses of the community center.
Two proclamations will be offered: May 2015 as National Preservation Month and May 10-16 as National Police Week.
Margaret Hutson will make a request to construct a memorial gate at the northeast entrance of Elmwood Cemetery facing Eldorado Street.
