County clerk says she will issue same-sex marriage licenses

The Montague County Clerk’s office now has available new marriage license forms that have been formatted to handle same-sex marriages, and will be issuing them if requested.
County Clerk Glenda Henson returned from vacation on Monday facing that big change in her office thanks to the Supreme Court Ruling. The clerk had been in contact with her office to keep abreast of what was coming.
“I was not going to do it until we had the proper forms, but our software company started working on that weekend and they were ready that following Monday (June 29),” said Henson.
