The Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission has called a special meeting for 9 a.m. on July 16 for the purpose of discussing Chronic Wasting Disease in Texas.
The meeting will take place in the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department headquarters, 4200 Smith School Road, Austin, in the commission hearing room.
The meeting is open to the public, but only invited testimony will be taken by the commission.

The meeting is in response to a recent finding of CWD in white-tailed deer in a captive deer breeding facility in Medina County, near San Antonio.
