Bowie Memorial Hospital bringing in nationally-known speakers

Bowie Memorial Hospital will provide a series of informational speakers for a town hall meeting from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Oct. 20 focusing on the formation of a hospital district.
Ernie Parisi, interim chief executive officer, said they invite everyone to attend to hear speakers on a variety of issues, along with information on the hospital’s action plan.
National and state speakers will provide insight on the reimbursement and financial issues facing rural health care and specifically rural hospitals. They will address the loss of health care and hospitals in rural America, and the impact that can have on a community.
The board of directors also will discuss the action plan, proposed tax rate and exemptions. There also will be a time for questions and answers. Read more on the background of these professionals in your mid-week Bowie News.
