Bowie one-act play travels to zone mid-week

cast photoArea high school thespians begin the one-act play season this week as Bowie High School travels to Jacksboro High School on March 2 to compete with “Violet Sharp.”

Christy Baker and Candace Mercer are play directors. Bowie will perform at 3 p.m. Wednesday along with Boyd, Jacksboro and Paradise.

In an odd twist of scheduling Bowie will compete in district on March 10-11 at North Central Texas College-Gainesville. Usually, district occurs before zone.

“Violet Sharp” is based on a true story and centers around the kidnapping of the Charles Lindbergh baby in 1932. Meet the full cast and crew in the mid-week News.
