Montague County receives strong audit for 2015

Montague County Commissioners Monday received a strong financial report for 2015, but were warned to expect a big impact in its budget due to the downturn in oil and gas activity.
Michael Edgin of Edgin, Parkman, Fleming & Fleming, PC, made the presentation going through the highlights of the audit, a separate state award audit and the management letter
The county’s total revenues, both program and general, were $12,988,386 in 2015, compared to $12,863,330 in 2014. Edgin reviewed the highlights and then offer a separate audit for state awards and reviewed the management letter offering recommendations for controls. Read the full story in the mid-week News.
