Finding a place to play college volleyball hasn’t been easy for Nocona High School senior Sherese Price.
But, this past Friday morning, Price made it official by signing a Letter of Intent to compete for North Central Texas College in Gainesville.
“I’m very excited to be offered a scholarship so late, and carry on my career in volleyball,” Price said. “I’m very happy to have the opportunity.”
Price said she plans on being a biology major at NCTC with a future career goal of becoming a doctor.
Price said she visited the campus twice, once during a tryout back in November and once again more recently.
At NCTC, Price will be joining a volleyball program that recently inked athletic Henrietta middle hitter Kamryn Weaver, and features Glen Rose outside hitter Kelsey Potter.
Potter and Price were both coached by ex-Nocona mentor Sandy Langford.
Sherese and her mother, Sherri, both described the process of simply finding a college as a “rollercoaster.” Read more in the June 1 Bowie News.
