on

Main Street Bowie is planning an Outdoor Downtown Movie Night Series for the first three Fridays in August.

Movies will be shown Aug. 5, 12 and 19. Movies will begin by 8:30 p.m. on East Tarrant Street, in front of the City Auditorium.

The first film of the summer series will be the animated hit “Kung Fu Panda III.”

Be sure to bring your own seating but allow Main Street and the Bowie Rural Volunteer Fire Department to supply the snacks.

Main Street will be selling drinks and candy for those with a sweet tooth.

The Bowie Volunteer Rural Fire Department has offered to provide and cook hot dogs and popcorn, and donate all of the proceeds back to the Main Street Program. The volunteers will bring one of their trucks out for the children to enjoy.
