Saint Jo Education Foundation readies fundraiser
The Saint Jo Education Foundation staff invites everyone to attend the “Reaching for the Stars,” a fundraising dinner, silent auction and live auction to support student scholarships and teacher grants.
Drinks and hor d’oeuvres at 6 p.m., and dinner and auction will begin at 6:30 p.m. April 1 in the building at the northeast corner of the Saint Jo Square.
Tickets are $25, which include dinner and one raffle ticket for a Henry “Golden Boy” .22 rifle.
Tickets are available from any Saint Jo ISD Education Foundation director, the Saint Jo ISD office or at the door. Additional raffle tickets may be purchased for $10 each.

Bowie Community Center presented a concert featuring the music country greats Patsy Cline and Johnny Cash this past Friday night.
Local libraries wrap up their children’s summer reading programs this week.
The Bowie Public Library brings the popular Creature Teacher with all their spectacular animals for the final event on July 23 at the Bowie Community Center.
The program begins at 10 am. The children also will receive their prize books for their summer logs.
The Nocona Public Library ends its program at 10 a.m. on July 24 at the H.J. Justin Building at 100 Clay Street. The program will be “Our Own Action Heroes -” Nocona fire, police and EMTs.
