CHEERLEADING: High school performs at TWU

Bowie High School mascot Damien Greenroy received the Achievement Award and was nominated for All-American mascot at the recent National Cheerleaders Association camp.
The Bowie High School and Bowie Junior High cheerleading squads attended the three day camp from June 8-11 at Texas Woman’s University in Denton where they worked on their teamwork, leadership and cheerleading skills.
The BHS squad also received two spirit sticks during the camp.
The junior high squad racked up numerous awards, including three spirit sticks and the stunt S.A.F.E award for displaying excellent skills in spot and stunt technique.
