Burglary suspect arrested, one still sought

A burglary-in-progress led to a series of events that included a property owner attempting to block the gate as the suspects tried to leave, a chase, a crash, the suspects asking for a water from a lady in her garage to the theft of a vehicle.
All in the course of a few nights work for the Montague County Sheriff’s Office and the Bowie Police Department, which resulted in the arrest of a 23-year-old Bowie man and the search for a second male suspect.

The following indictments were filed with the 97th District Clerk following the November session of the Montague County Grand Jury.
There were a total of 13 indictments with one sealed awaiting the arrest of a suspect.
A grand jury indictment is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
