CTAA takes road trip to WF

The Chisholm Trail Art Association will be taking a field trip for the April meeting.
The group will go to see CTAA President Gale Cochran-Smith’s solo art show at The Forum in Wichita Falls. Meet in the Wellington Bank parking lot in Bowie by 11:30 a.m. April 20 if you wish to carpool.
The Galleria is in the Forum building located at 2120 Speedway, Wichita Falls. Call 940-766-3347 or email [email protected] for further information.
Growing up in the Rocky Mountains and the Pacific Northwest, Gale Cochran-Smith developed an affinity with the beauty of nature.
Largely self-taught, Cochran-Smith’s art seeks to explore the relationship that people have with their environment. She is most comfortable working in either watercolor or pastels, but also works in a variety of other media, including photography.

Bowie, Nocona libraries wrap up summer reading this week

Local libraries wrap up their children’s summer reading programs this week.
The Bowie Public Library brings the popular Creature Teacher with all their spectacular animals for the final event on July 23 at the Bowie Community Center.
The program begins at 10 am. The children also will receive their prize books for their summer logs.
The Nocona Public Library ends its program at 10 a.m. on July 24 at the H.J. Justin Building at 100 Clay Street. The program will be “Our Own Action Heroes -” Nocona fire, police and EMTs.
