Police question man in hacking case

The investigation into the internet hacking of a Bowie woman’s Facebook account that led to its suspension for “violating community standards” continues as police question a local suspect and await subpoenaed information from the internet provider and Facebook.
On Aug. 9 Glenda Durham filed a police report that her Facebook account had been hacked. She said someone else had accessed her account without permission.
Lt. Randy Hanson has been working this case and explained an automated security alert came up on Durham’s page and she received a message her account had been “suspended for violating community standards.”
Durham forwarded to the police all the Facebook emails and the IP address where the access is believed to have originated.
